Our Wonderful Senior Couples
We have TERRIFIC senior couples who give sooo much of themselves and make things happen in our mission. We could not do all that we do without their support and love for the Gospel.

We have loved serving and working with the Saints in both Zambia & Malawi. The people are kind, peaceful and humble. We also love working with & observing the young missionaries. They are an incredible force for good out in the bush of Zambia/Malawi.
There are so many experiences both extraordinary as well as heartbreaking. Last month we were able to be part of a small "Group" not even big enough to be a Branch be baptized and confirmed. There were 25 people in all and after they were confirmed all the males members 12 and over were ordained to the Priesthood. It will be quite a day to remember in the history of the Church in Malawi. The first members of the Church in the whole country were baptized years ago in a nearby village over 29 years ago. One of the elderly sisters that was baptized back then was able to be at the baptism October 2, 2016.
We have gotten to participate in a few "Helping Hands" projects. In Zambia we had a spirits activity & BBQ at an orphanage with the Kawama Branch. We also cleaned both inside and out at a local medical clinic with the Kawama Branch. In Blantyre we built a bridge in a township where there was only a few branches laid across a streambed. The bridge accommodates hundreds of people every day.

When we came to Zambia to start our mission, we were very eager about the great work we were to do in this beautiful land of Africa. We didn’t know that it would be hard to deal with people and getting everyone on the same page. However we have found out that as we looked to the Lord for help. Many things have changed. Yes we are still working hard to get everyone on the same page but we trust that the Lord that called us will make it work and easy for us.
We have had many graduates, especially in the business course and the education course. It’s a blessing to see people’s lives change and knowing that we are part of their growth brings great joy to our hearts. We have found that when they are committed and follow the principles, it can change their lives. Also one of the greatest joys of our mission has been the opportunity to associate with the young missionaries. It is so inspiring to see their hard work and dedication to teaching and baptizing the Zambian and Malawian people. It is a privilege to be just a small part of the great work of the Lord that is going on here. Read more about us on this Blog.
